Grilled prawns with spices and flavours

When using a grill pan to cook delicious seafood shrimp, you can try one of the following cooking methods to let the shrimp blossom into a rich flavor in your mouth:

 

Ingredients:

Fresh shrimp

Olive oil

Fresh lemon juice

Minced garlic

Freshly chopped fresh rosemary and parsley

Grapefruit peel shavings (optional)

Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

 

Step 1: To prepare the shrimp, shell and devein the seafood shrimp, reserving the meat. You may reserve the heads of the shrimp to add more flavor.

 

Step 2: To make the shrimp marinade, in a bowl combine the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped fresh rosemary, parsley, and a pinch of grapefruit zest shavings (if preferred). Whisk well to combine the seasonings.

 

Step 3: Marinate the shrimp: Place the shrimp in the marinade, making sure each shrimp is well coated with the seasoning. You may choose to marinate for approximately 30 minutes to allow the shrimp to fully absorb the flavors.

 

Step 4: Preheat Baking Pan: Preheat the baking pan to the proper temperature. Generally, about 400°F (200°C) is suitable for grilling seafood shrimp.

 

Step 5: Lay the marinated shrimp flat on the preheated baking sheet. Bake for about 8 - 10 minutes, or until shrimp turn pink, turning shrimp to ensure even heating.

 

Step 6: Remove the shrimp from the grill and sprinkle with freshly chopped rosemary and parsley. You can squeeze on some more lemon juice to enhance the flavor. Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper can be seasoned to taste.

 

Step 7: Arrange the grilled shrimp on a platter with your favorite side dish and enjoy a rich, flavorful seafood meal.

 

By using a grill pan, you can maintain the tender texture of the shrimp and allow it to fully display all of its fresh flavors. This method of cooking will allow your ingredients to take on a wonderful flavor in the unique hot air of the grill pan.
